Research faculty and staff can request access to the tool by submitting this access request form. Once a completed form is received, C&IT will schedule an intake meeting to gather project information. After a successful consultation, a user will be granted a Wayne State Google account, including access to Google Cloud and Google Cloud Skills Boost. At that time, mandatory and optional training will be assigned, and pricing options will be provided.
Please provide this preliminary information in your ticket:
- The size of your data
- How you interact with your data
- Which programs you may use for analysis
- Any compliance requirements (CJIS, FERPA, etc.)
- PI is for the project
As a part of our Google partnership, researchers and their support staff have access to the Google Cloud Skills Boost learning catalog. This is Google's learning platform that offers free training with on-demand, self-paced courses.
In order to access the full catalog (click to launch site), users will need to submit a request for access. Once an account has been created, users will be able to log into the system using the WSU AccessID form of their WSU email address (ab1234@wayne.edu).
