Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offers a powerful and flexible suite of cloud computing services that can significantly accelerate and enhance research across various disciplines. From managing vast data sets to running complex simulations and developing cutting-edge AI models, GCP provides the infrastructure and tools needed for modern scientific discovery.
Research faculty can request access to the tool by submitting an application to the Division of Research & Innovation (DORI). Once DORI has approved usage, the PI will be asked to complete an intake form; once the form has been received by C&IT, a discovery call will be scheduled to gather project information. After a successful consultation, a user will be granted a Wayne State Google account, including access to Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud Skills.
