Research faculty and staff have access to data storage infrastructure that is designed to be user-friendly, while prioritizing community needs and security. These resources support various research needs while ensuring data complies with institutional policies, industry best practices, and other compliance regimes.
- Enterprise storage: Standard file storage for easy collaboration and sharing.
- Cloud storage: Google cloud data storage buckets and Microsoft Teams.
- Custom storage: A consultation can be requested to discuss further options for specific projects.
Research faculty and staff can request storage by submitting this access request form; please provide this preliminary information in your ticket:
- The size of your data
- How you interact with your data
- Which programs you may use for analysis
- Any compliance requirements (CJIS, FERPA, etc.)
- PI for the project
Researchers can manage their existing storage by using the self-service page here. Instructions on how to add users and change permissions on existing storage are available here.

Similar interface to OneDrive; create a MS Team with file sharing / access can be managed via Teams or the folder web interface; it doesn't take up your personal OneDrive space and Teams can be upped to a max of 25 TB of storage with a max file size of 250 GB. BAA exists for some compliance regimes.
