Step 1
Log in to the Cloud Lab with your AccessID and password, and click Create new project.
Step 2
You will be taken to a new screen. Use the information below to fill out the required areas and then click Submit.
- User: AccessID (will auto-fill).
- Template: Click on Default to open the drop-down menu and choose Default, Data Playground, or Cloud Storage.
- Default: Creates a sandbox project ideal for general usage
- Data Playground: Creates a data experimentation project with a dedicated VPC, a BigQuery dataset, a Cloud Storage bucket, and a Jupyter Notebook hosted on Vertex AI Workbench
- Cloud Storage: Creates a project with a dedicated Cloud Storage bucket.
- Compliance regime: Click None to open the drop-down menu and choose None, CJIS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP Moderate (choose for FERPA).
- Project name
- Three character minimum
- Nine character maximum
- Lowercase letters only
- May include numerals, hyphens
- Usage budget: Check the box to accept the Terms of Service.
Step 3
You will be redirected to a submission confirmation page that will display the unique URL for your project as well as the project status (provisioning will be what you first see as the status).
