Connecting an ORCID ID research identity to Wayne State account

This article explains how to connect your ORCID iD to your Wayne State account through Academica, allowing you to link your research identity with university systems.

ORCID is an independent non-profit organization that provides a persistent identifier, an ORCID iD, that distinguishes you from other researchers and a mechanism for linking your research outputs and activities to your iD. ORCID is integrated into many systems used by publishers, funders, institutions, and other research-related services.

Follow the steps below to connect your ORCID ID to Wayne State.

Log in to Academica at a.wayne.edu with your AccessID and password.

Click the Account Management icon in the top right corner.

Click Connect Your ORCID ID in the left menu.

Click Register or Connect Your ORCID ID to be taken to the ORCID to log in and connect your ID. Please note, this may require enabling pop-up windows in your browser.
