I'm getting the message "Service Invocation Failed" in Banner, what should I do?

You may see the message "Service Invocation Failed" when logging in or while using Banner.

Workaround

One possible cause is double-clicking on the Banner - Login menu item in Academica. You only need to single-click to start the Banner  session.

This issue is reported more frequently with the Internet Explorer web browser; less often with Chrome or Firefox. So trying a different web browser may provide relief.

If you are experiencing multiple Service Invocation Failure messages, please notify the C&IT Help Desk as soon as possible.
