Reasons why a Wayne State account (AccessID, Academica, etc.) may be disabled and how to get help

Academica accounts at Wayne State may be disabled for reasons such as too many failed login attemps, recent password change.

Body

Academica accounts may be disabled for one of the following reasons.

  • There have been more than five login attempts using an incorrect password. For security reasons, an account is disabled after the fifth unsuccessful login.
  • A student has not registered for classes for four consecutive terms. Access is not extended to inactive students.
  • An employee has left the university.

If you think your account has been deactivated in error, please contact the C&IT Help Desk at tech.wayne.edu/helpdesk. If you are a currently enrolled student in good standing or a current employee, your account will be reactivated within three business days.
