What is an Interactive Job?
Interactive jobs are those that provide a shell prompt, which allows users to execute commands and scripts as they would on the login nodes. The command qsub -I should be used to start an interactive session. You do not need to SSH to the node after it is assigned.
1. Log on to the Grid.
2. Type: qsub -I
This will create a single ssh session with 1 core and 1 GB of RAM.
