Cross-listing allows you to move section enrollments from individual courses and combine them into one course. This feature is helpful for instructors who teach several sections of the same course and only want to manage course data in one location. Please note that Cross-listing should be performed before courses are published and made available to students to prevent loss of course work.
Step 1
While in the "parent" (main) course, select Course Tools in the course menu.
Note: If the Course Tools menu option does not appear in the course navigation mention, instructors will need to enable the option from Settings > Navigation.
Step 2
Click Cross-list Course(s).
Step 3
The course you are in will appear as the "parent" course. Select the "child" course you wish to cross-list with the "parent" course.
Step 3
Click Review Selection and confirm the selected cross-listed courses.
